Leadership

Shell has been married to Missy since 1986 and they reside in the Atlanta Metro. They have two wonderful adult children both with an incredible spouse each and five beautiful grandchildren.  In addition to his family life and pastoral duties, Shell has been privileged to serve the following organizations in various roles: Georgia District of the Assemblies of God, Beulah Heights University, Smyrna Public Safety Foundation, First Priority Ministries, Steering Committee for the City of Smyrna’s Vision for the Community, Smyrna Citizen Corp Council as well as chaplain for the Smyrna Fire Department and the Smyrna Police Department. 

Dyke and Glenda met at Southwestern Assemblies of God University and were married in 1974. They are blessed with a daughter, Lindsey and her husband Shaun, a son, Landon and his wife Ali, and six awesome grand kids, Halle, Keenon, Anchour, Harbour, Ledgen and Staton. Full-time ministry has been their life since 1980. Dyke’s calling, to provide ministry support to the lead pastor, has provided him an array of ministry experience including music ministry, youth ministry, and business administration. Dyke currently serves as Senior Associate Pastor, giving oversight to various areas including pastoral care ministries, facilities management, and financial office administration. 

Christian serves as our Family Ministries Executive Pastor. He and his wife, Amanda, joined our team in 2011 as our Youth Pastors. In 2016, Pastor Christian began serving as an Associate Pastor, leading our Discipleship and Outreach ministries. Additionally, he serves as our Missions Pastor and is our Sunday morning worship leader. He and Amanda married in 2003, and have five kids. Christian is a graduate of Southeastern University, and is currently working towards his Masters of Divinity. 

Pastor Kim and her husband Daryl have been married since 1994  and have two adult children, Katie and Wesley. They have been members of Life Church since 2013 and have actively served since the beginning. Pastor Kim originally obtained degrees in both psychology and education which she used while working in an international homeschool organization to support and equip families and other leaders in classical education methods while also homeschooling her own children. In 2019, she began preparation for ministry at KINEO Ministry Training Center where she earned diplomas in both Advanced Biblical Studies and Theological Historical Studies. She currently serves as our Adult Ministries Executive Pastor , helping our church family better connect with each other and with God through biblical  teaching, equipping, and support. 

SJ leads the Media Ministries here at Life Church. These college sweethearts married in 2012. Having lived in Smyrna since their wedding, SJ and Tina have a true heart for this city and how God is using Life Church to impact more than just the people who fill the church building each week. They enjoy spending their spare time camping, cheering on their favorite teams (the Atlanta Braves, LSU Tigers, and New Orleans Saints), chasing their two adorable sons, Cooper & Maddox, and pampering their precious daughter, Hudsyn Jo! 

Gary and Summer Tunis serve as the Young Adult and Youth Pastors at Life Church. They have three beautiful girls, Hayden, Kennedy and Laiden. Gary is pursuing his ministry credentials through Pathways and Summer is a Elementary School Teacher. The Tunis family has a heart for reaching the broken, especially students and young adults They desire to do all that God has for their family and are willing to go wherever He may send. Their lives serve as living reminders that God chases those of us who wander away. 

Memo and Tori met at their home church in Griffin, Georgia. They have now been married since September of 2020. They both were called to full-time ministry at a young age. The Garcia’s love to love on those who desire it the most. They want to reach the unreachable and minister God’s amazing love to everyone. 

Jennifer has been in ministry for 30+ years now. She has worked in churches of different sizes throughout that time, always using the resources God has given to reach people for Christ! She and her husband, Larry are US Missionaries in Kennesaw. They were married in 1995 and have three adult children. Jennifer attended Southeastern University for her ministry degree and has a Master's in Education. Her and Larry have a heart to see the lost and hurting come to know God's love. She has been working in the financial office here at Life Church since June of 2019.

Keith has been married to Melanie since 1995. They reside in the metro Atlanta area. They have three children and five grandchildren. Keith has been in ministry for over 40 years having served as youth pastor, minister of music and senior pastor.
Keith and Melanie own horses and have extensive contacts in the western lifestyle and rodeo communities. As a couple they will work to ministry to rodeo contestants and staff who often do not have the opportunity to attend a local church.

Robert retired after 30 plus years in government service and as an Assistant Special Agent in Charge with U.S. Homeland Security Investigations in Atlanta. Thereafter, he was under contract through the U.S. Marshals Service protecting the U.S. 11th Circuit Court judiciary and staff for 6 years, recently leaving that position to spend more time with family. His love for the Lord, combined with past experience, affords him the opportunity to be an additional asset in providing both safety and security to the Pastoral and Life Church family. Robert and his wife Yvonne have 13 grandchildren, soon to be 14, along with a soon to be great granddaughter. Prior to retirement, Robert was transferred on average every five years or so, so his daughters and son are located from coast to coast, but his family remains extremely close and this offers them an opportunity for frequent out-of-town visits. 

Jemar’s career and ministry have spanned more than 30 years. Although having an accounting background, he moved into information technology early in his career. He has held executive roles in Fortune 100 companies leading them in their analytics journeys. Jemar has also planted and pastored several churches worldwide including underground churches in restricted countries. Jemar and Natalie are passionate about helping people obtain and achieve all that God has in store for them, especially financial freedom through intentional stewardship of God’s resources.
